First thing I want to know from you is how much you know about HR and its functions, as well as your experience in this area. If you have 3-4 years of experience, you may be aware of all the functions of HR and their work styles.
I am asking this because it is very important for you, as you are applying for the Assistant Manager position, which will require you to perform with greater efficiency and must possess good skills.
I hope you have all the qualities needed, but since you are seeking tips to excel in this role, it seems to me that you may be experiencing a lack of confidence and low faith in your skills, which is troubling you and you want to overcome this.

One thing I want to emphasize is that you must have good knowledge of the 7 core functions of HR (Major and important Functions), their rules, and work styles as recruiters will ask you about this.
Recruiters are looking for candidates for the HR Manager/Assistant Manager positions who have full knowledge and understanding of HR and its functions, with a minimum of three to four years of relevant experience. Most importantly, you must have faith in yourself.
If you have a strong understanding of HR and its functions, I believe you don't need to worry and will succeed in this interview.
