There are many games that can be played in the office premises for team building. One such game that we played was:

Material: chart paper, balloons, crayons

Instructions: Make groups and ask them to name their groups. Put a few crayons in each balloon, blow it, and tie it somewhere high. Then you ask each group to think of a story. You make chits of several things (For example: rain, bhajiya, gal, telephone, teddy bear, etc.) and ask each team to pick at least 5 chits. Then they have to use all the items mentioned on the chit in their story. THEY HAVE TO FIGHT FOR THEIR OWN CRAYONS. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. Whichever team gets the balloon or balloons, the crayons are theirs, and draw it on the chart paper. They have to present the story in a very innovative manner. It is FUN!!!

You can try dumb charades, passing the parcel, karaoke, singing a song with the same lyrics in different tunes, fancy dress competition, memory games (like showing some things for about 10 seconds and then ask the people to write what all they remember... maximum correct entries win.), treasure hunt, puzzles, quiz, games with balloons like who inflates the most or deflates the most... workstation decoration competition, dress themes on specific days... outdoor games like relays with different materials, volleyball, etc.

Hi,

Write down a few funny words and ask everyone to write down a story based on one of them within an hour. Encourage them to add humor to the story. Have everyone sit in a circle. Collect all the humorous stories and redistribute them randomly among the employees. Then, ask someone to read one aloud from a corner.

Hi Friend,
You could try out the following options, as these are activities conducted in well-known organizations. I am sure you may find them fruitful as well:
a) Pani-puri competition - Tata Teleservices
b) Arts competition for Kids - Reliance Communications
c) Chess or Sudoku break - TCS
d) Collective B'day celebrations - BPOs like Aegis/Wipro
e) Lunchtime games - Cadbury
f) Kite-flying competitions - Reliance
The key should be participation and recognition to motivate further and enhance bonding.
Cheers!

Hello,

For team building, you can play one of the games which is quite popular. You have to make pairs of two people who might be good friends at the office. Then, tie a cloth over one partner's eyes and ask the other partner to hold their hand and walk a few steps. The path might be uneven, so the second partner has to instruct the first one.

This activity will show if the first partner can blindly trust anyone, as well as if the second partner is cheating them. It will also reveal the level of coordination between them, how long they can walk or trust each other, and more.

Dear Jhansi Peter,

You can browse the net for icebreaker games, and there are plenty to choose from based on the target audience.

If you need to conduct events or programs for a larger audience, your best option would be to hire an event manager. These professionals are experts in the field and can handle all aspects of organizing your program. They not only engage the employees but also bring performers to entertain the audience on stage, arrange backdrops, audio-video systems, gifts, programs based on themes selected by you, and more. Of course, they charge a professional fee along with the cost of materials depending on your choice of events.

If you require further assistance, please feel free to email me at kannanmv@vsnl.net.

Hey, you can also try an extemporaneous speaking activity in which you provide 5 minutes to each team to speak on various topics.
