Curious About HR Interview Questions? Here's What You Might Encounter and How to Prepare

Sure, I'd be happy to help you with that. In a typical HR interview, you can expect various types of questions. Some common categories include:

1. Behavioral questions: These are designed to assess how you have handled specific situations in the past. For example, "Can you tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult coworker?"

2. Situational questions: These present hypothetical scenarios to gauge how you would respond in certain circumstances. An example could be, "What would you do if you were given a project with a tight deadline and limited resources?"

3. Technical questions: These focus on your knowledge and skills related to the job you are applying for. They can vary greatly depending on the role, such as asking a marketing candidate about their experience with SEO strategies.

4. Culture fit questions: These aim to determine if your values and work style align with the company's culture. You might be asked, "How do you handle feedback and criticism?"

These are just a few examples, and the specific questions you encounter will depend on the company and the role you are interviewing for. It's essential to prepare thoroughly and practice answering a variety of questions to showcase your qualifications and fit for the position.

Hi,

I think this is a childish question, because being a part of the HR department, you have to screen the candidate. I mean you (employer or interviewer) have to judge them in terms of qualifications, behavior, communication, and education. For this, you have to make the candidate feel comfortable; it will help them to discuss things with you in a very frank manner. Questions should be like this, which make it clear about the candidate:

1. Ask the candidate about themselves, which will cover the candidate's family background, their choices, communication skills, and you can also gauge their mindset.
2. Then ask about their education profile, key result areas of their current company, or what they like most in their daily tasks, etc.
3. After 15-20 minutes, if you find them to match your desired profile, then you can negotiate the salary part.

Hope this will help you out. If you have any queries, feel free to discuss.

Thanks,
Rajni

Hi Net,

He is liable for gratuity. In my view, it comes under all org... After 4 years and 6 months, it will be considered as 5 years.

I have a doubt regarding gratuity calculation - the eligible period for gratuity is 5 years. If an employee resigns after 4 years and 7 months, is he eligible for gratuity? Please provide your suggestions.
