Is an Employee Eligible for PF Withdrawal After Just 5 Months of Work?

md.mudlagiriyappa
One employee worked only 5 months before he asked for a PF withdrawal form. In my opinion, he is not eligible for PF because he worked only 5 months. Is this correct? Please tell me if he is eligible or not.

Hi,

The employee is definitely eligible for PF withdrawal as long as the company has deducted his PF and deposited the same within his PF account. You must provide him PF Withdrawal Form no. 10 C and a copy of his PF deduction and deposit statement - Form 3A.

The employee has to fill in the form, attach his identity and address proof, and a copy of his bank passbook/bank statement, all self-attested. You must then get the form signed by your company's authorized signatory, and the employee can then submit the documents to the PF office for withdrawal.

He is not eligible to withdraw PF, but he can withdraw his PF with a transfer if he crosses 6 months. This means he has to work 1 more month in another company, and he has to transfer his previous fund to the new fund.

Yes, he is eligible to withdraw PF in my opinion, but he must wait for Form-19 submission at least 60 days after leaving the organization and must enclose Form 15-G also with Form-19.
