In my opinion and experience, gifts to employees are good. Not for marking three years of service, as this could potentially create a bargaining or expectation factor for the employees, including its future costs. However, I suggest providing a gift (even cash vouchers) along with an appreciation certificate for those employees who have made additional contributions or taken on extra responsibilities leading to the organization's success, efficiency, inventions, cost control, or team building. This approach will bring long-term benefits to the organization and serve as a strong motivation factor for the employees.
