Is Pursuing SAP HR at Unisoft Edu Worth It for an MBA HR Fresher Like Me?

Rekha Mohanan
Hi, I'm an MBA HR fresher and am planning to do my SAP HR in Unisoft Edu. Could you kindly guide me on whether it will be useful to pursue this course?

Hi Rekha,

You can learn SAP HR, which would be useful if you are entering the software field. SAP HR does not fall under Administration. However, the chances are a bit less for freshers as well as for end users. If you want a job immediately, you can explore HR administration, recruitment, payroll, etc., where there are plenty of opportunities. They often hire freshers. In very few companies, SAP HR is used as a backend system. In those cases, knowledge of SAP HR would be beneficial.

Thank you, ma'am, but it's very challenging for a fresher to get a job in Chennai. Can you please guide me on what would be a supplemental course that will set us apart from other freshers?

Yes, Manisha is right. If you plan to pursue SAP HCM, then do it through an authorized SAP Education Partner and obtain certification as well. Avoid wasting your money by enrolling in ordinary institutions.

Hi Rekha,

My suggestion is that you get a few years of experience (minimum 3) before you go in for the certification. The SAP course is very expensive, and pursuing it before getting enough hands-on exposure would be an utter waste of money. I would recommend you try Genovate if that exists in your city.

Adeeth.

It does not matter which institute you are doing SAP at, but the quality of the facilities is significant. If you have access to experienced faculty, you will definitely have an advantage. Therefore, I would suggest that you inquire about the faculty and their skills before considering joining.

Hi folks, I am working in a reputed BPO with over 3 years of experience in HR. I recently completed my SAP HCM training from Siemens. It has been over 3 months now, and I have been searching for a job in SAP without success. Please help me in securing a job or suggest what I should do.

Thank you.

Doing SAP as a fresher is not the best way to secure a job. It is an experience-based course, and organizations typically prefer candidates with some experience. Nonetheless, there are more opportunities available in the market other than SAP, so please consider exploring those. It would be beneficial to gain some experience first before pursuing SAP.

First of all, when you join a job, if you have time, consider working part-time on SAP. Give preference to securing a job.

Hi All,

Hello Rekha, straight away you don't go with an Authorized Institute because it's too expensive and may or may not fulfill your need. Doing a certification is not that easy. My suggestion is to first get some knowledge of SAP by joining an Unauthorized institute, then go for Siemens or XXXX certification as mentioned by others. It's better to acquire domain knowledge as well.

Comments accepted.

Experienced Faculty - Do You Mean Faculty?

How can you determine if the faculty is experienced enough and assess their skills?

Please tell me about SAP and how to learn it. If anybody knows about an institute that provides information on SAP HR, please share.

Hi Rekha, I agree with Manisha and Adeeth; there are very few opportunities for SAP freshers. If you are planning to pursue it, make sure to do so in a reputable institute and gain some hands-on experience.

Thanks,

BPCL Mumbai and Siemens are two of the top institutes providing world-class training on SAP-HR, with a lot of support for placements as well. It's useful only when you actually get to work on the module after your placement.

So, what I suggest is to first try to get some experience in the HR field, understand the domain completely, and then go for SAP-HR. You may find a company that supports employees financially to pursue the course. SAP is the future, but only when you know the domain practically.

Hi and hello to everyone.

Good topic on SAP HR. I am also interested in pursuing SAP - HR. I have 20 years of experience in Payroll as a Senior Manager. Currently, I am in the last semester of PG Diploma in HR, and once I complete it, I plan to do SAP. Can someone guide me on this? I am looking to update and sharpen my skills for better prospects.

What are the fees and which institution is good?

Hi Rekha,

It's good that you have decided to pursue the SAP HR module. I also practiced SAP in Bangalore with a senior from Tech Mahindra Company.

What I suggest after completing the course is to obtain certification from Siemens or Genovate as it holds value, whereas local training institutes will only provide knowledge and may not assist with job placements or hold significant weight on a resume.

When opting for SAP HR, dedication, patience, and full-time practice are essential.

It can be challenging to pursue certification (Siemens/Genovate) due to the high costs involved (last time I inquired, full-time certification was 3.3 lakh, and online certification was 1.6 lakh). Therefore, it is crucial to undergo training with local institutes first, gaining practical experience (dedicating 4-6 months full-time). Subsequently, aim for certification from SAP partners like Siemens/Genovate.

Keep in mind that local training institutes can only provide basic knowledge of SAP. You will need to further your understanding by engaging in SAP forums and actively seeking solutions.

Be cautious of institutes promising training, placements, and experience for a fee, as it often results in wasted time and money.
