Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been transferred from the Chennai R&D to the Manufacturing Unit in Gurgaon to handle administrative activities.

Our factory unit consists of 125 employees, including 30 staff members (comprising VP, AVP, Head, GM) on the company's payroll and 75 contract workers.

Could you please advise on the functions/activities that need to be performed in this new role?

As per my view, the following activities are to be performed in a manufacturing unit to run the Administration department smoothly:

1. Regular personnel management
- Counseling
- Weekly reporting
- Disciplinary actions

2. Drinking water management
3. First aid
4. Front desk management, meeting rooms, conference halls, and courier services
5. Bank-related activities
6. Identity cards
7. Administrative data recording and monitoring
8. Management Information System (MIS) and audits
9. Security
10. Transportation
11. Ticketing and bookings
12. Follow-up on establishment maintenance and repairs, furniture, fixtures, including fax, Xerox, etc.
13. Garden maintenance
14. Contractual management
- Daily monitoring
- Bi-weekly reporting
- Interview, joining, and leaving activities

15. Housekeeping
16. Canteen management
17. Administrative purchase, budgeting, and expense monitoring
18. Employee relations and event management
