Confused About PF Transfer After Company Acquisition? Need Help Navigating This Issue

Hi, this is Saravanan B from Hyderabad. Currently, I am working at Broadridge Financial Solutions. Prior to this, I worked at UBS India Service Centre. I have submitted my PF Transfer Application form to my HR team, and they acknowledged and submitted it to my ex-employer (UBS). However, they still need to stamp and submit the 3A, 5, 9, and 10 along with the form, which has not happened yet. My current employer is now requesting me to contact my ex-employer, and I am unsure whom I need to reach out to regarding this matter. Recently, Cognizant acquired UBS, which has left me confused about whom I should contact.

I requested the PF transfer in January 2009. My ex-employer PF number is AP/52394/741.

Please assist me with this matter.

Hi Saravanan, you just need to contact the HR department of your previous employer. They would be handling all PF-related activities. Even if Cognizant has acquired your previous employer UBS, the records would still be intact. If you remember your old employee/personnel number and your PF number, you can easily get everything checked and processed. Go ahead and call up the HR.

Gaurang, thanks for the information. Today, I have contacted my UBS friends, and I have one more issue to address. The project I was working on at UBS is now being handled by another company, Williams Lea, which I forgot to mention yesterday. I am now confused about whom I should approach. Please help me.
