If person has done his/her MBA rightly then i think they have no need for experience. For learn SAP it is mandatory that you should be know every format and formula rightly. If you know every format and formula than you can easily learn SAP. Which you have read in MBA, that, you have done in SAP. So i think he should be go with SAP.

well, in my opinion you better start your career in HR and get the starting experience then you can apply for this course. saying in other you have to have the base of HR.
and if you are willing to have this course before starting your career that would be a positive input
wish you all the best

  • I beg to differ with Mr. Pankaj and others with similar opinion.
  • SAP is a specific technological tool which automises HR Processes and helps in better HR Management. Any SAP course will help you in understanding SAP and how to make best use of it. But to understand SAP it is better to have specific hands on experience of working in HR Dept. Without prior practical experience it would be difficult to understand highly technical content of SAP course.
  • It is also important to have all-round exposure to HR Processes in a Big or Medium size company before venturing into SAP. Reason being, only such companies generally have most of the HR Processes running and only those kind of companies have potential to buy and use SAP.
  • I do not think any prudent company will employ a fresher to work on SAP, only because candidate has done a course in SAP
  • In my opinion, after completing MBA first priority should be to gain quality experience from industry, then decide your area of super specialization and then gain as much knowledge and experience in that particular niche area.
  • Otherwise there are n number of institutes and academies expert in selling their courses. You will have to decide, is there any thing worth learning in courses offered and how it is going to help you??

Hello! My precious guides...
...I thank you all whole heartedly for reciprocating.
After hearing from all of you I am thinking to continue with my job as HR
Executive for a period of six(6) months and then I will go for SAP. I am actually
working in a consultancy for U.S timings. And I feel that I can still do something
more besides the job that I am doing but I do not know what to do. All I know is
I have the potential to do something more than this. I want to do something constructive be
it any additional course or part time job or something like that for my good. So please
suggest me how to go about this issue.
Your's Sincerely,

  • In many companies administration function is a also managed by HR Dept. hence in a way administration also becomes part of HR in such companies.
  • In case you find your current job not interesting then request for a change in profile or a look for a job else where. But do not be in a hurry to leave current job unless you get a real good job elsewhere. Till then concentrate on current job and create a good impression there.

Hello dear Jose,
First think of why SAP needs to be done.
First take the knowledge the current HR systems and then go for SAP HR.
This would help you to have a diversified knowledge of current systems which can be linked to SAP HR.
