Is PF Contribution Compulsory For All Employees

Hi,
As per my knowledge, for a PF registered company, PF contribution is not compulsory for employees who are having(in the present organization) basic pay of more than Rs.6,500/- & were not having PF account in previous company.
Recently, one of my PF consultant friend informed that we should deduct PF for all employees.
Please help me in getting the proper information.

No PF contribution is not complusory if the basic salary is Rs 6,500 however you need to fill up the PF forms of all employees who are not covered under PF and keep it with you in need of any auditing done by the govt. employees.
