Hi Radhika,

Generally, you can take 45 days of leave in one financial year in the retail sector. The classification is as follows: P/L or EL = 15 days, S/L = 15 days, CL = 15 days.

For Sick Leaves (S/L), you can approve them by observing the medical certificate from reputed hospitals and verifying the injury of the personnel. If your company provides the E.S.I.C. facility to the employees, observe the bill from a registered E.S.I.C. hospital.

Hi Rupesh,

Thanks for your reply. My organization provides 30 days of leave in a year, which equates to 2.5 days per month. We do not have an ESIC Policy. Additionally, we are not willing to divide the leaves as PL, SL, CL. We are planning to keep it as one single leave.

Can you please advise on the encashment procedure? Would it be possible to encash 75% of the leaves?

Radhika

Hi Radhika,

My name is Rupesh Vyas, and I am working as an HR manager in central India's leading financial company. My organization provides a total of 15 days leave in one financial year, which equates to 1.5 days per month. We do not have ESIC Policy or PF Policy in place. In our company, we divide the leaves into three parts: PL, SL, CL.

Dear Radhika, leave policies vary from organization to organization and sector to sector. Every company has its separate leave policy. Applying the leave policy of the government sector in the corporate world can be challenging. Therefore, it is advisable to follow the leave principles of your company and recommend to your boss to implement them consistently.

Rupesh Vyas
