Transitioning to HR: Will Learning SAP HR Boost My Career After an MBA?

aruna banduni
Hi all,

I would like to know that after completing my MBA through distance learning, will having knowledge of SAP HR help me in my career growth? Currently, I am in a different role working as a counselor at a highly reputed Management Institute in NCR, earning a package of around 3 lakh per annum. However, my true passion lies in pursuing a career in HR. It is my dream job.

I have already completed my post-graduation in English (M.A.) and am in the final semester of my MBA. I am seeking guidance on how to transition into the HR field.

I am eagerly waiting for suggestions and guidance.

Thanks

Hi,

I have completed my MBA in HR from Pune University. Currently, I am working in a manufacturing company. I want to enroll myself in the SAP course. Can you please guide me? My email ID is kad.paigude@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Hi Aruna & Kadambari,

SAP HR is a good option to pursue, especially if you love HR and have a slightly technical bend of mind. A course in SAP HR is best pursued from a SAP Academy or e-Academy. You can check out the authorized training partners on the SAP website. You can also get all the information you need about courses from SAP Education Services.

Ideally, you should get at least two years of domain experience in HR before you do the HR course. This will allow you to get a better understanding of what SAP HR is all about and how you can put it to best use. I myself completed my SAP HCM (HR) certification recently after six years of domain experience. The study was a real eye-opener for me and has introduced me to the power of SAP.

I hope you too go on to a similar experience.

Regards,
Gaurang
