Concerned About FORM 5, 10 & 12 A Submission Dates? Need Clarity on Compliance Issues

Hi Folks, can anyone help me out with my query related to the monthly submission dates of FORM 5, 10 & 12 A? As per my information, monthly submissions are due on the 15th of each month. My concern is that a one-day late submission will be considered non-compliant according to statutory records.

I recently attended an audit meeting where our FORM 5, 10 & 12 A submissions were delayed due to centralized submission in Bangalore or a public holiday on August 15th. Consequently, FORM 5, 10 & 12 A were submitted on August 16th. The auditor deemed this late submission as non-compliant.

Could someone please clarify or provide more information on submission dates?

In the next month's audit, I will need to address the auditor's queries on my non-compliance. Your insights are appreciated.

Understanding P.F. Monthly Returns Forms

The aforementioned forms are P.F. monthly returns forms. Form 5 is for new joins, Form 10 is for resigned employees during the month, and Form 12A is the monthly return form. We have to attach triplicate copies of the challan along with these forms.

According to P.F. norms, the monthly returns due date is the 25th of the following month. In your case, you have submitted within the stipulated time, so don't worry. To my knowledge, if we submit after the due date, nothing will happen. However, the P.F. amount should be paid within the stipulated time, which is the 15th of the following month, with a maximum grace period of 6 days, making it the 21st of the following month. If we exceed this date, as per P.F. norms, we have to pay interest.

P.F. Annual Returns due date is the 30th of April. I hope you are clear now.
