Dear Nagesh, I am providing you with details to the best of my knowledge regarding the Shops and Establishments Act.

PF Requirements

- Declaration for new joiners - monthly
- Form 5 - monthly
- Form 10 - monthly
- Challans - monthly
- 12A - monthly
- Returns - Yearly (March to February)

Regarding ESI

- Declaration/Nomination - Monthly or as and when required
- Challans - monthly
- Returns - Half Yearly (April to September & October to March)

Hi friends, did anybody clear my doubt? Can employees apply for Volunteer PF at their discretion? Only a certain percentage is allowed as a tax benefit. What is the exact percentage?

Thank you very much for your support. I am writing to inquire if there is any rule restricting the maximum contribution (both employee and employer) to 12% of Rs. 6500/- regardless of the Basic and DA amount (suppose the Basic+DA is Rs. 25000/- and Gross salary is Rs. 45,000/-).
