Dear All,
Is Employee insurance a must for all the employees in a software company? When should the insurance start for a new joinee (in probation period)? What ad all should be included in employee insurance - accidental, maternity? What if an employee meets with an accident, before issuing an Insurance Policy? Should the company pay for the medical expenses, as there is no insurance?

it is not compulsory but it depends on companies policy. terms of policy decided between insurer company and insured.and also terms of employment.

Mostly IT companies are offering Health Insurance to employees. The range of benefits depends upon the philosophy of your organisation in terms of benchmarking against competition, ability of the organisation to pay premiums etc.
