I am working as an HR in a logistics company. Please provide me with the meaning of Leave Travel Allowance or Leave Travel Concession and also explain its implications.

Hi Shilpi,

LTA or LTC is normally max up to 2 months of basic salary, which is tax-free once in a block year subject to the production of proof and availing a minimum of 6 days of PL/EL. It is a tax-saving instrument.
