Seeking Fun HR Games for Individual Student Participation in Class – Any Suggestions?

manjunathkit
My name is Manjunath, and I am pursuing an MBA with a specialization in HR. I am looking for HR games that can help individual students participate in class. I already have team-building games, but I am specifically seeking games where individuals can perform.

For individual games, you can try role-playing, where an individual can enjoy and experience a new adventure.

An easy way to get each individual to participate is to allocate some sort of task and then have each person report back to the class. Not everyone is comfortable with this, so you need to ensure your training group is supportive and gives every person a fair go. It helps build confidence, tests whether your participants are learning, and ensures every participant contributes.

One of the things I do in my training, particularly in small group work, is to sit with each group for a time during the exercise I have set and monitor each individual's input to the task or discussion. If, for example, I have set a task to discuss an aspect of what we are learning, and I have groups of say 3 or 4, I will watch and see if every person in the group is contributing to the discussion. If I see someone sitting back and letting his team members do all the work, then I intervene to ask for his/her thoughts and bring that person into the discussion. Sometimes, people just need a little helping hand, and as trainers, that is part of our job.

Someone gave me this clue and I am sharing it here. I hope this will be of some use to you all.

Reverse ACT: Everyone should write their participant's name and the action they have to perform in the following format: <Name of the requestor> <Name of the participant> <Action to be performed by the participant>. Collect all the entries and announce the actual fun in the game; the requestor is the actual participant. Select a random chit and ask them to perform the specified action.

Facts about Friends: Have a one-on-one session with all of your team members and collect as much information about them as possible. Sort them by unknown facts to easy ones. During the team gathering, make a random pick and share points one by one; the members should identify the personality.

The Name Game: Every member should add an adjective to their name and announce it. Make a random pick and ask them to tell the names of any three persons.

Thanks, friends.

Riyaz, I checked the website you mentioned, but I found group playing games. It's not for individuals. However, some games really helped with team building. Once again, thank you.

Mr. John, what you said is correct. We did everything you mentioned. In my class, the main issue is that the students need a lot of motivation, and they are poor in communication. They won't come forward until someone else starts first. I am worried about this because when they finish the course and enter the corporate world, it may become a problem for them. Only studies are not important, right? They should also possess some management skills.

So, I need some games or activities that I can conduct in class where individuals can come forward confidently and perform well. This will help them understand why this is important.
