Confused About Dearness Allowance in Minimum Wage Circular? Let's Discuss

Yashwant Patil
Dear All, I received a minimum wage circular from our site. I am confused about the dearness allowance as mentioned in the circular. Industries covered under the Factories Act revised DA for the period of 1.07.10 to 19.07.10 is 1394, and DA for the period 20.07.10 to 31.12.10 is 561.75.

What exactly does this mean? Can anyone explain?

Subject: Minimum Wages Circular from 1.7.2010

Is anyone in possession of the circular or any information regarding the increase in the minimum wages effective from 01.07.2010?

Dear,

Haryana Minimum wages have not been revised yet. I hope that they will be revised in the last week of August. Don't worry; I will submit the same once they are revised.

Dear Patil, Please also refer to the old and revised basic salary. The DA is high because the basic is low. Now the basic has increased, and hence the DA is low. The Maharashtra government will slowly do the same for all 'scheduled employment' over a period of time. This time they have done so in the case of 'residual factories', 'bakeries', 'plastic industry', etc.

Important Note

What is important is that the new basic+DA is much more than the old basic+DA.
