Hi all,

This special allowance will be issued every 6 months. Some of them are asking for an English copy, but authorities are issuing only in Marathi. However, one person has provided us with the translated copy in English. I am uploading the same here.

The Government of Maharashtra has, with effect from 20-7-2010, revised the Minimum Wages Rates (Basic) applicable to factories under the Factories Act (Residuary). The rates vary from Zone I to III.

I am seeking details of the areas covered under each zone. If anyone has the relevant notification, please share the details.

Are the other allowances (other than HRA and SA/VDA) like petrol allowance, washing allowance, and telephone allowance included in Minimum Wages?

Equation for Minimum Wages

Is the below-mentioned equation true?
Minimum Wages = Basic + SA + HRA + Petrol Allowance + Washing Allowance + Telephone Allowance

If yes, then how will PF and ESI be calculated? Please guide.
