Transforming Through Self-Reflection: The Power of Inner Change

There was a millionaire who was bothered by severe eye pain. He consulted many physicians and received treatment. He continued seeking advice from a galaxy of medical experts, consumed heavy doses of drugs, and underwent hundreds of injections. However, the ache persisted with even greater intensity than before.

Eventually, the millionaire called upon a monk renowned for treating such patients. The monk, upon understanding his problem, suggested that the millionaire concentrate only on green colors for some time and avoid looking at any other colors. The millionaire gathered a group of painters, bought barrels of green paint, and instructed that every object his eyes might fall upon be painted green, as per the monk's advice.

When the monk visited after a few days, the millionaire's servants, mistaking the monk's red attire for a different color, doused him with buckets of green paint to prevent their master from seeing any other color and potentially triggering his eye pain again.

Amused by the situation, the monk remarked, "If you had bought a pair of green spectacles, worth just a few rupees, you could have spared the walls, trees, pots, and other items, as well as preserved a significant portion of your fortune. You cannot paint the world green! Let us change our perspective, and the world will appear differently. It is wiser to change ourselves rather than trying to alter the world."

Let's change our vision first..!!

Lovely message. So true.

We are always trying to seek balance in our lives by altering the exterior forces, but seldom do we realize that there are greater forces that work from within.
