I currently work in the hotel industry as the Director of Human Resources
and the pay scale is good. But what's good to me may not be for you. Anywhere from $50k-55k is about the average I've noticed but I'm in the state of California. Full Benefits & as far as room to grow, yes it just depends on the company. Hope this information is helpful. Oh you can also google payscales & see what the average pay for your position & state to get some more information.

to work in hotel industry is quite interesting now i am working in sarovar group of hotels, the pay package starts at the minimum level of 11k and it gets up from there on each appraisal of yours. for first couple of years don't look for package, and make a strong foundation then you dont go for package it would come too.
and also as an hr know how other department function it would help in long term

If you work for a hotel the for first couple of years don't look for package, and make a strong foundation and connections with customers and clients then package would come to you itself.
I also advise that dowing hr job try to know how other departments function it would help in long term and be the one to fit in any shoe.
