Nice efforts to help the community on your part. Please review the second attachment, as the wages do not seem to match the revised wages as per the latest Pay Commission Report. The document appears to contain old wage rates from the Pay Commission Report of 1996, while the Variable Dearness Allowance Rates in the first attachment represent the revised wages of 2008.

Hi Parab, the Dearness Allowance rates of the Central Government are revised every six months, based on the last 6-month average of the Consumer Price Index. Therefore, the orders contained in any such communication are applicable for 6 months and are replaced with every fresh order of revised rates after 6 months.
The second attachment is just for the categorization of various designations into unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled categories. The rates mentioned in that document are outdated. However, the minimum updated rates are provided in the first attachment. These are the latest rates available until the next revision, expected to be effective from October 1, 2010.
That is fine. Thanks for the clarification, Jiwanjot. Of course, the 2nd attachment is also very useful. My intention in pointing it out was to see if you have access to the latest document, as the classification of workers often undergoes additions and alterations, as recommended by Pay Commission Reports or through the acceptance of workers' demands.

Krishna, it depends upon the coverage of the act as to which wage registers are to be maintained. The format in the Factories Act is different. For contract labor, it's different under the CL Act, and for construction labor, it's separately mentioned in the BOCW Act. I will post an attachment tomorrow that will contain all the registers required to be maintained under various acts.
Please provide me with guidance on determining a suitable salary for positions such as Office Boy, Peon, Attender, etc. Is there a minimum wage requirement for these roles classified as unskilled labor, or are there any exemptions applicable? I have observed that some individuals are being compensated below the unskilled wage level.

Elavarasan
