Very direct to the point presentation, comprehensive also. I think there are two points if you allow me:

1) Sometimes the nature of the job directs the type of system you may use for appraisal. For example, in a factory, you may use a checklist.

2) You did not talk about competency-based performance appraisal, or merging both Performance-Based Objectives (PBO) and Competency or behavior-based appraisal in which the required skills or the core and non-core competencies related to a certain job are measured.

Good, simple presentation. Easy to understand.

Performance appraisal forms and formats should be included. Also, some more points about the advantages of performance appraisal should be mentioned. Can you also include which type of performance appraisal system is followed in various types of industries?

Good Morning Pooja,

Nice presentation on PA. I have one point regarding rating an individual. Generally, an outstanding rating is not given by the Appraiser even when the Appraisee deserves it. This is based on my own experience. Could this be a biased attitude of an appraiser towards the appraisee?

"A really nice presentation." I would just expect something more from you on one particular point. The common mistakes performed during appraisals - "how it should be eradicated". If you could give us something on that, probably most of the issues cropping up at the workplace would be minimized.
