Health Register Responsibility: Should Safety or HR & Admin Handle It?

Please guide: Who is required to maintain the Health Register of employees - the Safety Department or the HR & Admin Department?

Dear Abhay, In our plant, we have a medical officer and a separate health department. Hence, the health register is maintained by them. In your case, I would advise that this should be the role of the Admin Department. If in your plant HSE is looking after the Safety Officer, then he can also maintain the health register.
