Eligibility for PL and LTA Claims: Does Completing a Year During Notice Count?

Priti Nemani
Dear All,

I would be truly grateful if you could kindly assist me with the following query:

If a confirmed employee resigns before completing one year but completes one year during the notice period, will they be eligible for PL and LTA claims? The company's terms and conditions specify a one-year eligibility criterion for claiming the aforementioned benefits.

Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Priti

Dear Priti,

Serving in the notice period is also a part of service, which needs to be counted in his service period.

I hope this clarifies.

First of all, if a company makes the rules, we have to abide by their rules as whenever company officials or directors make these rules, they make them in their favor. We cannot challenge them in any civil court.

When we resign from our post, from that day, we cannot claim any benefits such as casual leaves and other employee benefits. Therefore, you cannot claim for LTC at any cost as you have to complete a duration of 30 days in your company.
