Thanks for the quick response. Since it is business trip, if a co., dint pay appropriate per diem the person may deny to travel.
Hence I am looking out how other co., are paying to their Travellers. Is it paid as USD or INR??
\Per diem is decided by the daily cost incurred by an employee while working in a different location. It includes the expense with relation to the standard of living of the city and Business - project valuation.You may calculate the amount with respect to the land where the employee is. For example its in INR for Indian employees , whereas it would be in USD for employees in US .MNCs maintain a common sheet on USD to create a parity . Do arrange for an initial amount within the office which the employee would collect before leaving . Thereafter , you may allow the employee to use the Diner's , Amex or whichever credit card is issued to the employees who are travelling . The employee needs to be issued a letter mentioning the project date , amount of Per diem allowed. Later on the employee needs to apply for reimbursements through your ERP and pay the credit card bills.

I need urgent help.I have to depute some of my employees in china for doing project there with a reputed OEM in china for more than One Year. My problem is that this is being done very first time in my organisation.What I want to know is:
1. What are the different payment terms by which they can be paid salaries??
3 How the work permit will be given
3. Whether the salaries be paid in foriegn currency or some deputation allowances to be paid.
And is there any way by which we can pay the employees partly in Indian rupees and partly in chinese RMB?
4. what will be the salary if we pay them in foriegn currency, shall it be exactly equal to existing one or equal to the currency where we are sending him.
5.How will be the income tax terms be applied to him
6.And are their any minimum compensation laws applied to the employees which are deputed
The thing which I want to know is ABC to Z for this matter complete income tax laws ,work permit laws and payment terms applied to the deputed employees
You are sending your employee on international assignment to china. Employee need to sign international employment contract.
OEM will send invitation letter along with employment contract to Embassy of China at India to issue VISA to your employees.
You need to cover these areas as they are standard in international contract

You can pay salary in any currency wholly and partly but Income tax will be applicable to total income as per the rule of land where employee is working.
No idea regarding minimum compensation but for India it is minimum 25000 US dollar per annum.
