Seeking IT Companies Offering Work-from-Home Roles for Recruiters in the US: Any Recommendations?

Hi All,

Can anyone please let me know names of IT companies/consultancies which offer "WORK FROM HOME" facility for IT recruitment in the US. One of my friends is working as an IT recruiter (2+ years of experience) in a software development company in Mumbai and wants to do something independently. Someone has suggested to her that nowadays there are companies that do resourcing for their US clients and offer work-from-home facilities to interested candidates.

Please reply with your valuable advice on the above matter and let me know if it is worth working from home. Also, apart from recruitment, what are the other HR activities that can be carried out from home? If not in the IT sector, what other jobs are available that can be done from home?

There are a lot of avenues open for working from home through the internet. There are run-of-the-mill companies that, after taking work from you, also cheat you by not paying you on time, etc. For example, internet ad placement and data conversion jobs. Therefore, one has to be very careful before jumping into assignments.

There are decent "Work from Home" openings available in Medical Transcription work, and companies like Sprayance and Acusys are based in Chennai. However, you should have some experience and should pass their qualifying tests. If you come across any other assignments like this, please do let me know.

I am working for a software firm in Bangalore, and we have a few of our employees working from home only during emergencies or if they want to take long vacations, which is genuine. We provide them with a laptop and broadband connection. If there is any important conference call or meeting, they come to the office.

I wish to have more info on this. Who is the employer, and are they providing laptops and broadband connections? Is it necessary that the person should be in Bangalore? I am from the central part of Kerala. Can I get linked with the establishment and do the job from home in Kerala?
