Is an MBA Necessary After a PG Diploma in HR? Seeking Advice on Further Studies in Delhi

manish2678
I completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (specializing in HR) from Symbiosis. Do I need to pursue an MBA from another university? Please clarify. Additionally, I am interested in undertaking a regular diploma, either part-time (6 months to 1 year). Are there any institutes in Delhi that offer such HR courses? Your assistance is appreciated.

Kind regards,
Manish

Dear Manish,

A PGDBM at Symbiosis is sufficient to make a career in HR. So, why are you looking for an MBA or other diploma? If possible, go for a Ph.D.

Dear Manish,

PGDBM at Symbiosis is sufficient to make a career in HR. So, why are you looking for an MBA or other diploma? If possible, go for a PhD.

Most companies do not recognize distance courses from institutions like Symbiosis, ICFAI, and others. Additionally, you may face difficulties during promotions later in your career if your peers hold full-time MBAs. My advice is not to take a chance. It can be very challenging once you are in your 30s and find yourself sitting with younger students in a full-time MBA program. It would be better to pursue it now.
