I have resigned from my current job without giving the 7-day notice period mentioned in my appointment letter, as I am not a confirmed employee through mail and am ready to pay in lieu of that. Now, when I asked my HR department for a relieving letter, they told me that it would be issued only after my full and final settlement. Instead, they issued me an acceptance of resignation letter which clearly mentions:
WE ARE IN RECEIPT OF YOUR RESIGNATION LETTER DATED 18 JULY 2010, AND IT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED WEF 18 JULY 2010. YOU WILL BE RELIEVED AFTER 18 JULY 2010, CLOSURE OF OFFICE HOURS.
Should I consider this as both acceptance of resignation and a relieving letter? Please guide me and help me.
