Urgent Advice Needed Regarding Relieving Letter

mayurjaiin
I have resigned from my current job without giving any notice period of 7 days as mentioned in my appointment letter as i am not a confirmed employee through mail and ready to pay in lieu of that.
Now when i asked my my HR dept for relieving letter they told me that it will be issued only after my full and final and instead issued me acceptance of resignation letter which clearly mentions that............
WE ARE IN RECEIPT OF YOUR RESIGNATION LETTER DATED 18 JULY 2010 AND IT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED WEF 18 JULY 2010 AND YOU YOU WILL BE RELIEVED AFTER 18 JULY 2010 CLOSURE OF OFFICE HOURS.
Should i consider this as both acceptance of resignation and relieving letter?
Please guide me and help me.

I suppose there is nothing fishy. You generally get Exp and releiving letter only after the full and final settlement. So once that is done on the last day you should get the releiving.

Dear mayurjaiin,
Let me understand it little more clearly, do you have only 7 days as notice period?
Again "WE ARE IN RECEIPT OF YOUR RESIGNATION LETTER DATED 18 JULY 2010 AND IT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED WEF 18 JULY 2010 AND YOU YOU WILL BE RELIEVED AFTER 18 JULY 2010 CLOSURE OF OFFICE HOURS." this is already an acceptance to the relieving mail/letter given to them.
If you have any final settlement due to your company, experience letter would be given only after the same, on to the clearance of the HR dept. and the Fin. dept.

Thanks for your inputs.
Dear Mahr,
As i was not a confirmed employee and the appointment letter clearly stats that either party can terminate the contract by giving the 7 days notice period during the probation period.

Dear Mayur,
I believe you had posted the same topic more than once, if you don't get a comment on to your thread, that doesn't mean that you have to post the same topic again. I highly recommend you not to do so.
Hence I am deleting the other two post of this topic which didn't get any comment for the sake of site's traffic.
Best regards,
Mahesh
