Understanding HR Jargon: Can Someone Clarify What It Really Means?

Hello Everyone,

Can anybody explain to me what jargon means exactly and what things fall under it? Please explain. I know that complete HR falls into it, like vision, objectives, and how to achieve them. But, friends, I want a proper definition in a professional way. Please reply immediately.

Jargons are words or phrases used in every field. These are technical terms. A person with thorough knowledge of the field is familiar with these jargons and can use them as they are in practice of using those words or phrases. Jargons are used in various fields like Medicine, HR, Finance, IT, etc. Jargons assist in communication.

For example, some diseases are described by doctors in technical language, while the general public is explained in simpler terms.

This kind of language is known to those in the field through experience. Similarly, in HR, different terms may have different meanings. A worker may not understand the implications of a statement like "you are fired!"
