ISTD - Distant Learning

Hi members!
Hope things are going great at your end!!!!
Well friends I was looking for some short term and distant learning courses in HR.
I came across ISTD in Qutub Institutional Area. Can anyone guide me as to what is the course all about and how far is the course helpful in accelerating one's career. I wanna join this course.
Kindly reply soon so that I can enroll myself ASAP.

I wanted to know that is the course possible while you are working? I mean can a person complete the course with ease along with your jobs etc.

You can certainly do this programme along with your job...
Some reading would be necessary..Thats it..And exams are based on Practical Case studies & Questions...You can clear this exam with flying colours if you have a good practical Exposure & Knowledge....New fundas have to be read.. As Material is bit lengthy..

Good morning. It is very heartening to note the explicit way you have explained about the ISTD course to our friend on citeHR. I do am an old alumini of ISTD cleared my papers in 2004 but could complete my project recently. As you have mentioned that you are pursuing your Project, I would request you to give the project title you are going to take up and the Organisational background you are presently working for. I have few wonderful thoughts on projects, which I am sure you would be able to take up if you have already not selected your project.
Pl mail the details on [Login to view]. I am working for a Govt. of India PSU at Hyderabad now and earlier worked in Surat for 5 years in the same organisation.

It is great to see ISTD people on CiteHr. I joined ISTD Batch 56 started from Jan 07.
Ofcourse it will be great to share our thoughts on relevant HR topics.
kvmksrinivas and Chaetal, please let me know on working on Project title.
I would want to make project on Outsourcing in HR.
Please suggest other best option.

Since you have doen course in HR from ISTD , can you tell me some other institutes offering such course in delhi. I am looking for part time or full time 1 year diploma in HR that will help me take up HR as my career.
I have 1 year experience in IT industry , i am a B.Tech working both in software and recruitment.
I request you to suggest me a good course in HR.

In ISTD DIPLOMA course they want 300-words (not more than that) answer in submission sheets. Do they literally mean of 300 words? If we submit answers containing more than 300 words, are they going to accept? please guide me as you have cleared it already...thanx

300 words is the minimum content they expect you to write, you may exceed the same if required and the content is to the point. ideally one side of the A4 size paper should be good enough.
