Hi, I have worked with an MNC for 2 years. Suddenly, in May 2010, the HR department called me and stated that my services were no longer required in the organization and that I should resign. When I refused to resign, they threatened me with termination. Then, on June 15th, 2010, I received a termination of service letter from HR, citing only the employment contract with me. Prior to this, no communication was given to me regarding performance-related issues or any other concerns.
