What is meant by client acquistion in recruitment?

what is recruitment proceedure i have heard that some company appoint hr for recruitment activities then tell me what will activities of that selected person on recruitment

Client acquisition is the sales and marketing / Business development process of obtaining new clients. Client acquisition also includes the process of converting existing prospects into new clients.
