ESI Rule Incase Of Transfer

Hi Pulies,
Please clarify my following doubts:
If an employee (who is covered under ESI) is transferred (transfer date is 1st dec 2009) to another branch which is located in another state, do his ESI registration number will remain the same?
In the above case itself, in which ESI office we should file the ESI HALF YEARLY return as of 31st mar 2010.

Dear Mr. Richard,
First you have to transfer his ESIC records from previous ESIC local Office to current local ESIC Office along with copy of last two HLY returns duly attested by previous ESIC manager.
When you submit his records to current ESIC Office they will give you his new Insurance number and Insurance Card but Joining date and other benefits will remain same.
