I was working in a private limited company. I was selected and appointed as a cashier on a probationary period for six months but was given the duties of delivering currency, which required me to roam from place to place with a large amount of currency. I was not even covered under insurance for doing this job. I was not permanent, and I left the job without intimation after the completion of six months. Now, my boss has sent me a registered letter stating that I have to pay one month's salary to them. Please tell me, do I have to "sign" the registered letter or not? They did not mention in the appointment letter that I have to pay one month's salary if I leave the job without intimation. Please reply to my email ID, i.e., [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons].
