Form 16 Signing Confusion: Can Employers Use Digital Signatures for Tax Forms?

Hi, I have a query. As per some articles, is it allowed for Form 16 to be signed digitally? Does this mean that Form 16 needs to be signed by the employer or the person responsible for deducting tax at the source, whether manually or digitally? What are the income tax (itax) guidelines regarding signing Form 16?
