Hello all friends,

Now, the ESI limit is INR 15,000/- effective from 01/05/2010. This means that if the salary is less than INR 15,001/-, a deduction of 1.75% will be mandatory.

Thank you,

Hi,

What is the procedure to register ESI for the employees drawing less than 15k now? They were not registered before because they were drawing more than 10k.

For the employees drawing up to and less than 15K, the procedure of registration will be the same as it used to be earlier for employees drawing a salary up to and less than 10K. As it's effective May 01, 2010, the coverage will be from May 01, 2010, only.

Actually, I'm new in ESIC. Can you please let me know the procedure for the same?

I have the employee's form ready with a postcard photo and a passport-size photo. Do I just have to submit the same in the ESIC office? What's next?
