How Can Our NGO Implement a Performance-Based Pay Structure After New PA Changes?

askhena
Dear All,

We are an NGO with a core staff strength of 82. This year, we have implemented 180 degrees PA for staff below managerial grade and 270 for managers and above. Now, it is expected that we should have a Performance-Based Pay structure. Can anybody share your experience of having the same or give an idea of how to create a Performance-Based Pay structure?

I have a question for you. How many techniques or kinds of Performance Appraisal (PA) do we have to date, such as 90, 120, 360 degrees, etc.? And which one should we use in which condition, along with a detailed procedure for implementation. Additionally, any presentations or books on this topic would be greatly beneficial to me. I would appreciate your prompt response.

Hi,

As of today, there are mostly three types of PA in use, namely 90/180/360 degrees, but 180 and 720 are also prevalent in many cases. For implementation guidelines, please get in touch with TV Rao learning systems or some good training institute because if you want to learn the entire gamut of PA through this mailing process, it will be quite difficult.

The implementation of the type of PMS will depend on the type of work your organization is engaged in and the organizational culture.

Hi Hena,

Thank you for your prompt response. I have comprehensive knowledge about PMS, but the confusion lies in which technique we should use in which condition. However, PMS and PA are different. PA is a part of PMS.

Once again, thank you.
