Hi shoOOonya,
"Is your CEO the only one having a 'different / casual' Dress code ??" - Yes, he is only one. Everybody else wear professional attires.
"Do you have a well defined / or even simply defined Dress Code ??" - Yes, I have the Policies and Employees hand book ready. The time I finished it I showed it to him, But he said that he go through it later, I don't think he has looked at it.
Dress Code Policy: Employees should maintain a neat, well groomed appearance at all times. Employees should avoid extremes in dress.
Formal Wear : Monday to Thursday
Informal Wear : Friday
Men are expected to be in Formal Business attire e.g. Collared Shirt, Trousers and Leather Shoes and Smart Business Casuals.
Women are expected to be in Indian or Western Formal wear e.g. Sari, Salwar Kameez, and Trousers.
His 'attitude' is ok. I guess slowly and in very subtly we have to talk to him regard dress code.
"i guess they (dress code) should not be a part of leadership !!. - I have other opinion about this, I think it make a lot of difference if the person whom we look up to as Leader is not dressed appropriately.
Leadership is mix to may things, dresscode is one of them, thought minor % of it.
Thanks 4 advice.
Regards
Anu
