Competency Mapping: What Types of Questionnaires Should I Use and Where Can I Find Them?

Hi, I need some questionnaires on competency mapping. Can you suggest some types of questionnaires? I also need to get in touch with some relevant sites.

Please tell me how to correlate competency mapping with performance appraisal and ultimately with increments. Is there any formula for generating training needs related to this?

Can you give a little more information on the type of competencies, whether they are generic or role-specific? Do you already have a competency map and just need the questionnaire for each competency?

Dear Nidhi,

We can have the Key Result Areas (KRAs) or the Key Performance Areas (KPAs) for each person under one department and set points for each. The head of the department can be asked to review and assign points that the employee may have gained against each KPA. Accordingly, the person receiving lower or equal to 2 (on a 5-point scale) may require training in that specific competency (e.g., communication) for which they are scoring lower points in KPAs.
