Struggling with High Employee Turnover in Retail? Share Your Engagement Strategies Here

Hi, it's good to be back to CiteHR, a wonderful site where I've learned a lot. Just want to seek and look forward to information sharing pertaining to employee engagement in the retail industry. I am facing difficulties in retaining employees in retail. I am experiencing an average between 9% - 15% monthly resignations, and the annual accumulation would really be challenging for me in terms of getting replacements. It would be great if anyone could share their experiences and best practices.

Hi Hairuzz,

I too work in retail HR, and yes, it is a challenge to retain trained manpower in the retail sector as it is a very competitive industry.

Just conduct an Employee Engagement survey in your organization and calculate the Employee Engagement Index (EEI). After this, you can study the reasons for dissatisfaction and take appropriate action.

Have you implemented Friedman Selling Techniques in your organization?

Hi, I have recently joined a retail sector company. Attrition rates are high in this company. I would like to know more about the employee engagement survey. What is EEI? What kind of training can be provided?

Here, I can see that employees are mostly dissatisfied because of irregular timings, lesser increments, higher targets, and lesser acknowledgments/appreciations. How do I go about it?
