HR Executive's Role in Payroll at a Software Company: Can Anyone Clarify?

What is the role of an HR executive in payroll administration in a software company? I would be thankful if someone could answer my query.

Hi,

As you are working as an HR Executive in Payroll Administration with a software company, I wanted to know more about your role.

First of all, you have to be aware of all statutory compliances like Minimum wages, Distribution of salary (Basic, HRA, Conveyance, DA, TA, etc.), PF, ESI (types of different forms, return submission, challan form, etc.).

If you are using any payroll software for this, then you have to fill in the entries and you will easily update all the managed tasks.

You have to keep yourself updated with the help of different websites related to State Government Rules & Regulations, PF, ESI, etc.

I would like to tell you that Payroll Management is a segment of HR. HR is a very wide term covering many segments such as Recruitment, Payroll Management, Training & Development, Performance Appraisal, Organisational Development, etc. If you are working in an HR generalist profile, then you can be involved in every segment of HR.
