Dear All,

Kindly share the ideal salary bracket for the (0-1 yr) HR executive position in a midsize company.

Hi,

The CTC is defined by various factors like industry, age, education, etc. I am also working in a mid-sized company, but it's in the heavy machinery sector. My CTC is Rs. 25,000/- per month.

It should be 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh. If you are from a reputable institute, it should be 3 to 4 lakhs.

Yes, that depends on:

From an organizational point of view: organizational status, production, profits, revenue, etc.

And from an employee point of view: Qualification, age, experience, knowledge, attitude, etc.

With Regards,

Dear,

Based on my knowledge, the ideal salary bracket for an HR Executive with 0-1 year of experience in a medium-sized company is $10,000-$15,000.

In today's market, the salary of an HR Executive who has completed a full-time 2-year MBA from any reputed university - and I don't mean a good college or institute - should be more than or equal to 25k. For individuals who have completed courses such as executive MBA, distance MBA, e-MBA, online MBA, or whatever else, the salary range should be between 10-15k. In India, the value of legitimate and full-time courses is diminishing. Therefore, I urge all HR professionals to clarify whether the MBA is a full-time 2-year program or some additional, unnecessary course. Experience is not a substitute for education but rather a catalyst.

I am looking for a career in HR and Admin, presently serving as a front executive with some profiles in HR and Admin. I have completed my BA and am currently pursuing an MBA in HR through distance learning. Additionally, I have nine years of experience in customer support and as a front executive. I am seeking a perfect job in and around Vadodara. Could you please advise me on the salary expectations I should set?

For a fresh MBA graduate from a quality institute, the CTC should be around 3 lakhs per annum. Other HR graduates can expect a starting salary of Rs. 15,000 per month. Rs. 10,000 is only suitable for a small company and not for a mid-sized company.

Shankar

Dear Gayatri,

I believe salary is not the main concern. It depends on the value the individual brings, for which we compensate them. Just like how a storm can wipe out all labels, the focus should be on rewarding someone based on their work knowledge.

Best regards,

Dear Gayatri,

The ideal salary for an HR Executive is 1 to 1.5 lakh. I have described this based on the present industrial scenario.

Dear All,

It's a great pleasure to see the valuable guidance regarding the salary range of an HR Executive.

I think in Kolkata, a person with an MBA degree and 2 years of experience may expect a salary bracket of 15k to 18k as net take-home pay.

Many of my ex-colleagues who have relevant experience in manpower sourcing companies are currently receiving a salary range from 14k net take-home to 18k net take-home.

MBA holders with 0-1 year of experience, in general, are receiving a salary range from 8k net take-home to 12k net take-home per month in Kolkata (in mid-size organizations).

If any of my friends can offer a salary of more than 18k net take-home per month in the HR field, please refer the opportunity to me. I will be forever grateful.

The fact is that the salary of an HR executive depends on:

1) Location
2) Job Description (HR generalist, core, or recruitment)
3) Type of industry
4) The organization offering the position

Those with experience in generalist/core HR/IR have more leverage in salary negotiation compared to those focused solely on recruitment.

Feel free to call me or email me for further clarification.

It will vary from company to company. There are HR executives who are getting Rs. 7,000 and also Rs. 15,000 (MBA HR Fresher). Depending on your experience, it will vary.

Thank you again for all the valuable information. Yes, you can also post the salary breakup. What is the ideal salary for a Generalist HR with (0-1 Yr) of experience? The company has a total employee strength of around 300. Kindly suggest.

Hi,
It will be around Rs.7000/- to Rs.12000/-
Since the experience Quoted here is only 0-1, that is fresher, I will suggest that; don’t bother about salary this time. Make this opportunity to study and to gain experience. After gaining at least 1 to 2 yrz you can think about salary hikes, bargaining and all.

Hi all,

This is Mandira Chatterjee. I have completed 2 years of MBA from Sikkim Manipal University. I have also done a three-year full-time diploma in Modern Office Management. Currently, I am working in a 445-bedded super specialty hospital based in Kolkata as an HR Executive. My current CTC is 1.45 Lac. I have more than 6.5 years of experience, and I have been working as an HR Executive for one year now. In my current role, I am responsible for handling PF, ESIC, Mediclaim, employee counseling, etc.

Could you suggest any suitable changes or provide insights into what my future targets should be? Am I receiving the correct salary for my position? How can I excel as an HR professional? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have attached my profile for your reference.

Since most of the colleges offering MBA in HR have a standard curriculum that falls under a university, the scope for placement is limited. Lately, MBA schools under AICTE have structured courses tailored to suit the industry, with frequent interaction between candidates and companies. Therefore, students from reputable MBA schools can expect a starting salary (CTS) of 4 to 6 lakhs. On the other hand, students from average MBA schools can expect a CTS of 2 to 4 lakhs. It is crucial for the placement cell to be robust with an extensive alumni network.
