Facing Delays in Gratuity Payment from Former Employer: What Legal Steps Can I Take?

Hi All,

I had worked with an MNC in the finance department for 9 years and resigned in October 2006. My gratuity and final settlement have been delayed due to a short notice period. I am worried about not receiving my Gratuity Amount, which is 50K. LIC has already sent the cheque to the Company's TRUST Account. However, the Company I left is not clearing the payment. What legal action can be taken against the company? Please advise.
