Casual leave:
An employee is entitled to 5 days of casual leaves every year. A minimum of ½ day and a maximum of 2 days casual leave can be availed of at a time.
If casual leaves are taken preceding and succeeding days of weekly offs or a paid holiday then the weekly offs or the holiday will be counted as a leave.
Any casual leaves not availed of will lapse at the end of the calendar year
Application for casual leaves is to be made in advance as far as possible.
Casual leaves cannot be encashed

Sick leave:
An employee is entitled to 5 working days of sick leaves every year.
In case of leave more than 3 days at a time then the employee should submit Doctor's certificate.
If sick leaves are availed on preceding and succeeding days of weekly offs or a paid holiday, such weekly offs or paid holiday will not be counted as a leave.
Any sick leaves not availed of will be carried forward to the next year up to a limit of 50 days.
Sick leaves cannot be encashed.

Earned/Privilege leaves:
An employee is entitled to 22 working days of earned & privilege leaves. Such leaves will be credited to the employees account at the end of a calendar year. Weekly offs and paid holidays during the period of such leaves will not be counted as leaves. Earned/privilege leaves may be availed a maximum of 3 times in a year. A minimum of 3 days earned/privilege leave must be availed at a time. Any earned/privilege leaves not availed of will be carried forward to the next year up to a limit of 60 days. An employee having more than 60 days to his credit will be en cashed. Further these leaves can be encashed at the termination of services from the company.

Hi Seniors,

Weekly offs and paid holidays during the period of EL/PL leaves will not be counted as leaves. I have a doubt regarding this; please clarify about this leave.

Dear Deepavi,

Thank you for the detailed structure on Leaves. Please let me know if, sometimes, the staff members are not able to attend the office due to a train strike, should it be considered as paid leave?

Regards,
Nisha

Hi Nisha,

In a situation where the staff members are not able to attend the office due to a train strike or any other cause, he/she can always compensate for the absence by working an extra day or hour.

Deepa
