How Can I Withdraw My PF Without Involving My Previous Employer?

mvsun1
Hi folks,

I worked for an organization from 2008 to 2010. During the final settlement, they asked me for some money. I was not prepared for that and left without a relieving letter. However, I do have a resignation acceptance letter from the organization.

I want to know how I can withdraw my PF without involving my previous employer. I am aware that I can transfer my PF, but I would like to withdraw it. Can anyone suggest a way for me to withdraw my PF without the involvement of my previous employer? Additionally, how many days will it take for the amount to reflect in my account?

If you have your PF number, then get the PF withdrawal forms, i.e., Form 10C and Form 19, from the local PF office or download them from the EPFO website at [EPFO](http://www.epfindia.com).

Fill up the forms and attach one cancelled cheque leaf along with the form. The cancelled cheque leaf should be from the account in which you want the PF settlement amount credited.

If you do not want to get it attested by your previous employer, you may prefer to have it attested by the Branch Manager (bank) where you have an account or by the Head Postmaster.

Send the forms to the concerned PF office by registered A/D or by hand. Generally, it takes 30 days for the settlement to be processed.

Hi,

Many thanks for the reply. Now I have a PF account opened in NOIDA, U.P. If the branch manager asks me the reason for the previous employer not signing the form, what should I say? Will they do any verification again with my previous employer? Also, on the form, where should I get the manager's attestation done?
