Hi there,
Any organization, as per labor law, should issue an employment contract or appointment letter stating the terms of employment to the employee. However, some organizations only provide an offer letter and do not issue an appointment letter. If an individual is not issued an appointment letter, they can obtain a relieving letter from the company. This letter would include the joining date, end date, last drawn salary, and designation.
Please let me know if this information has been helpful to you, or feel free to ask if you need more information.
