Dear All,
Here, I am sharing one good practice which I have been implementing since April 2009. I circulate an Occupational Health, Safety & Environment Test to all employees via email every week, along with a deadline and bonus points for each answer. This means there are four tests in a month. The cumulative scores from all four tests will determine the first three winners, who will receive gifts as rewards during the "All Hands Meet" every month, presented by the Plant Head. Employees can provide their answers by researching from various sources such as books, the internet, friends, etc. This initiative has significantly enhanced safety awareness among all employees.
The top management has highly appreciated this practice, and I have now introduced OHSE tests in the local language for shop floor employees including operators, helpers, and contract workers. This effort will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing our safety culture.
