The True Meaning of Friendship: Would You Be There in Their Final Moments?

loveswetha@rediffmail.com
Hi all,

Have a look at this small but worthwhile story. In a battle camp, a soldier prepares to go bring his wounded friend from the field. His captain says, "No use. Your friend will most likely be dead." Despite the captain's warning, the soldier still goes and brings back his friend. Upon seeing the dead body, the captain comments, "I told you it wasn't worth it. He is dead." The soldier replies, "No, sir, it was really worth it. When I got to him, my friend saw me, smiled, and said, 'Man, I knew you would come.' That's friendship. Be true to your friends always. Try to be with them even in their last breath.

Cheers,
Anu

That's a good one. That's why it says a friend is the one who walks in when the whole world walks out.
