Hi Pooja,

Here are some activities that you can implement in your organization to make your regular HR activities more effective:

1. Shift Management of employees - you must confirm the same.

2. Checking and updating personal files of each and every employee.

3. ESI status: whether these are updated or not and if every employee covered under this scheme has received their ESI card.

4. PF status: similar with PF, ensuring all employees have their PF number.

5. Attendance details: Always kept up to date and readily available when required.

6. Leave status: Maintenance of leave status for each and every employee.

7. Salary payment: whether it is being paid on time or not.

8. Recruitment activities: At the appropriate time.

Then you can start the implementation of:

1. Preparation of MIS in an Excel sheet providing complete employee details for that particular month.
a. Prepare basic data of each and every employee with all the necessary details.
b. Calculate the attrition rate.
c. List new joiners.
d. Note resignations for the month.

2. From the MIS, identify employees with birthdays in that month and arrange a small celebration with a cake on a weekend.

3. Implement an Employee of the Month award with the help of seniors, presenting a certificate and, if possible, a memento to the selected employee.

4. Prepare a weekly attendance report for employees, monitoring punctuality, and share with your seniors.

5. First, complete all pending work related to ESI, PF, and all tasks falling under your profile.

Likewise, you can do many things from the very first month itself. Lastly, try to interact with each and every employee, making them feel your importance and that you are working for their welfare.

Seems like it's getting too long. Keep in touch and do reply.

Regards,

Amit Seth.
